This card of the former Penn State standout and Washington Redskin LB was never authorized to be produced by the NFLPA. Negotiations with Arrington and the NFLPA fell through after the card was produced and initially seeded into packs. Facing legal action from Arrington’s representatives, Fleer stopped additional production of the card and actually removed the card from the cases still in their possession. The first run of pre-orders were shipped before the the factory began acting to remove the cards. Obviously, some of these cards still made it out of the factory and into the hands of collectors.
